Antisleep: Undercover (6-12-09)

This . . . is a huge mistake. Not only am i giving you guys a track that was recorded totally live (which means no fun overdubs, pitch correction, reverb/delay, turning down the "suck" knob, etc.), but this particular song, with which i began my short set, features both a guitar that goes out of tune (great! should match the vocals) AND you can hear me actually *talking*. i realize no one has really heard my speaking voice (and how fortunate you've been...until now). So if you had an image of me speaking in a low, sexy gravel-tone-of-love like Barry White after eating a delicious French truffle laced with E . . .sorry, it's actually more akin to a hopped up Kermit The Frog. At any rate, the song i'm killing today is once again from the amazing IAMX.

You can expect to be assaulted with Antisleep: Undercover tracks from this acoustic performance every Friday for the next 5 weeks. Be afraid.

<3 Pow. Zowie. Faint. Thud.
What are you talking about "horrible"? It was like a serenade. See? You actually didn't even need to say "sexy" and it was already "sigh-worthy". Lol. Very good on the high notes. "Soothing" is the word. You should carry your guitar around and sing on the streets. With that voice you'll either make the hookers swoon or someone is bound to roll down the window of their stretch limo and give you a contract. Or the worst case scenario is that you get shot on a drive-by but that is highly unlikely...
Keep singing, nonetheless!

you. are. amazing.

i loved it.
and i agree: hitting the high notes - gives me chills (good ones - not the ones where you're about to turn around and have some horrible alien monster there ready to bite your face off).

seriously, if you're ever in town - sushi's on me.

Totally wouldn't have expected you to sound like that!

Really enjoying these acoustic tracks, not only has it got me into IAMX but it really shows off how good your voice is.

Voxis> Darkeworld > Glamour (accoustic, hidden track), your voice was there.
So there's nothing to fear I think.

@Arkhaz Actually (damn you for bringing up trivia), the only bits of my voice you hear in that song is the laughing in the background. The speaking you're hearing is Collin from Strangities ( http://strangities.com/ ) and Dark Places ( http://www.myspace.com/darkplaces ). More on him and his projects in another blog post later on...

And thank you mucho to everyone commenting. This is not the response i expected.
